Part of the Saxon Brown wine family and made by Gaffner, the Etre label (from Raison D’Etre, or reason for being) is owned by his partner Tracey Walker. With outstanding fruit sources (75% Sangiacomo, 25% Durell), this lush and mouth- filling Chardonnay is cold-fermented very slowly for months in stainless tanks sur lie, with battonage for richness, although no malolactic conversion and no oak. Styled after Chablis, it shows more richness, roundness and persistence than expected. A delicious Value. 500 cases.
