The Tenuta Baràc winery is near the medieval city of Alba in Italy’s Piemonte region, where they organically farm their steeply western sloping, Barbaresco vineyard “Rocche Massalupo.” Hand-picked, carefully sorted and destemmed, the 100% Nebbiolo is native-yeast fermented at controlled temperatures for 10 days in stainless tanks before aging 12 months in large older-oak casks and bottle-aged 5 years before release.
